Approx. 160gms Himalayan Sari Silk. The more weight, the longer the scarf.
Pair of 9mm or 10mm knitting needles
Abbreviations
2tog = knit 2 stitches together
yarn around needle = bring your yarn around the needle as if you are going to purl the next stitch (but you will knit it). This makes a stitch.
Increase = knit into front of stitch and then knit into back of stitch
Pattern
Cast on 42 sts.
1st Row: Knit 1, purl 1 until end of row
Repeat this row 3 more times.
Next row: Knit 2 tog. until end of row – 21 sts remaining
Next row: Knit 2tog, yarn around needle. Repeat until last stitch (remember to do yarn around needle) knit last stitch. Note if you get to the end of the row and don't have 1 stitch left to knit – you have made a boo boo (Technical knitting term.
Repeat above row until your scarf is long enough or you only have enough yarn left to do the following:
Increase in each stitch till end of row (42sts).
Next row: Knit 1, purl 1 until end of row.
Repeat this row 3 more times.
Cast off and darn in ends.
